Fall is here
Fall is here and winter is near. We are enjoying the many colors that fall brings. Our woods are covered with God's handy work. We love to take walks in the beautiful fall air. This is by far my favorite time of year. I think it might be Preston's too. He loves the leaves and stares up into the trees.

Cinnamon Rolls
Want to impress your husband, guests or just treat yourself? I made these Cinnamon Rolls this morning and wanted to share the recipe with all of my readers. They were delicious:) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 TBS baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup buttermilk
8 TBS (1 stick) butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a med. bowl and mix well. Stir in veg. oil. Add buttermilk and stir just until blended.
2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough into a 15x8 in. rectangle.
3. Preheat the oven to 400. Grease a 9 in. round baking pan.
4. Spread butter over the dough. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix well. Sprinkle over butter. Roll up rectangle, jelly roll fashion, starting from one long side. Pinch seam to seal.
5. Cute the roll into 1 1/2 in. slices. Arrange the slices, cut side up, in prepared baking pan. Bake until lightly browned, about 15 to 20 min. Remove from oven. Serve hot.
Seriously these couldnt be any easier.
The picture of Preston is what his new thing is lately. He puts his hand out all the time. Even when he isn't in his highchair:)

Kelty
This weekend Craig got Preston a Kelty child carrier. We needed an upgrade to his Snugly as he is getting much bigger these days. This one can carry him up to 50 lbs. We are going to use it this week as Craig has some days off. Tonight we tried it out for the first time and Preston was grinning from ear to ear. He thinks it's just the greatest. It's really nice and you can set him down after you take him off and it stands up like a chair.

Cruisin around
Now that Preston has mastered crawling and pulling himself up to a stand he wants to be able to walk. We bought this little walker awhile ago(which also converts to a car that he can later ride) and he loves to walk with it while pushing it. I think walking won't be too far off in his future. He loves to try out new things.
P.S. Preston is watching the Packer football game with his dad today and we got him to say what sounding like "HUT" several times...........it was really cute:)

Craig's work schedule
Emergency visit
Last night I took Preston into the ER. Here is how the night began:
Craig was working the night shift last night so Preston and I went to the mall to shop. Preston was getting crabby in his stroller so I took him out and was holding him. Before we were about to leave I saw a sweatshirt I wanted to try on. I set Preston back in his stroller but I didn't buckle him in and only a second later he fell out of it hitting the back of his head on the hard floor falling about a foot. I got him calmed down and really didn't think much of it because he falls all the time it seems now that he can stand. On the way home he cried but I soothed him by singing to him. When we got home I fed him and he went right to bed. A half hour later he woke up screaming and when I went in his room he had thrown up all over. When I picked him up and changed him he was very docile which is very unlike Preston. I called Craig at work and we both agreed I needed to bring him in. He ended up with a slight concussion but is doing fine now. Preston and I stayed at my parents in town last night since it was so late. My dad picked up McDonald's and I let Preston stay up and eat a snack. Whew, what a scare. The Lord must have had a guardian angle watching over him.

Party with Great Grandma and Grandpa B
My Grandparents came down to visit this weekend and had a birthday party for all their Great Grandkids in our family. We had a great time getting together at my sister in laws house. Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa for all your love and time that you have always given to us and now our kids. Preston loves his toy phone and it will help him learn his alphebet. We love you so much.
P.S. Craig and I and Preston loved having you guys over for breakfast this morning with my parents before you left for home. We will never forget all the time we get to spend with you and how much it means to us. Hugs and Kisses

First Professional Haircut
Well we finally did it...........we took Preston in for his first real BIG BOY haircut. I talked them down to $6(they wanted $12). He did a really good job sitting on my lap. I let him have a Cherry Cola sucker to help keep him occupied. I can't believe how much hair he really had. We got a really cute certificate too that holds his locks. I'll post a picture of that later. What a little man huh?

Thank you Auntie Denise
Preston got some new clothes from Auntie Denise which used to be his counsin JD's. I wish it were Fall so he could wear his long sleeved ones. It's so great to have cousin close in age.
Preston gets up on EVERYTHING!!!! Anything that he can pull himself up on is free game.
See the little Leap Frog ball in the background that is red, white , and blue? I got that a lawn sale for only $2 and it sells for $25 brand new. It will help him learn the alphabet.
