Wherever she is.......................

Wherever Audrey is, usually there is Preston.

4 wheeler

A few days ago we went to our friends Apple Orchard and of course got some apples, but Craig also took Preston 4 wheeling. We just might have to get one some day.

Sleepy baby

I have to say Audrey has been a VERY good baby. She eats every 3 hours and at night she has only been waking up once, sometimes twice a night. She rarely every cries either. She is adjusting well to the loud house we have, created by her big brother Preston. I love being a mom of two. I didn't realize how much I missed having a baby.

So big and so little

Preston seemed to have grown while I was in the hospital. There isn't anything he can't say. He is such a little man. He is showing off his new headphones for the Blue Angels airshow tomorrow.

Audrey loves tummy time and enjoyed Preston and our dog Maddie saying hello to her while she was on the floor.

My babies

Preston loves Audrey and it was evident from the first time they met. He ran into the room saying "Audrey" and jumped right up on the hospital bed looked her in the eye and said "Hi". He gave her tons of kisses and looked at me, smiled, and started to play with my hair.

Things haven't changed since we have been home. He wants to be around her all the time and

and loves to sit by her when she is eating. He isn't even phased by her crying in the middle of the night. Could it really be all this easy!!!!!

My little girl

God has blessed us with such a sweet little girl. I sense that she is going to be a little spit fire. She is very emotional and lets you know very quickly what she does and doesn't want. She is so beautiful and I could spend hours just staring at her. Being at the hospital for 4 days was getting old and it was so nice when we could finally go home and be a family.

Name That Child: Preston or Audrey

These are pictures of Preston and Audrey, they really look alike. See if you can figure out which ones are Preston and which ones are Audrey without using the dates on the pictures.

Our Latest Addition: Audrey

Here is God's latest gift to our family. Audrey was born around 1030 a.m. on September 8th. She weighed in at 7lbs and 8oz, 19 inches long, and scored a 9 and 9 on her apgar....lost a point for color. She is a miracle that our family is blessed to have received. Her birth began at 1130 p.m. on 9/07/08 with some contractions that gave Shelley a little pain and were about 10 minutes apart. As the night went on the contractions got stronger, longer, more painful and closer together. When the reached about 5 minutes apart we decided to go in to the hospital. Shelley's parents came out to stay with Preston and we were to the hospital by close to 2:00 a.m. Shelley was only dilated to 1cm and the labor eventually slowed down and a decision had to be made about having a c-section or inducing labor which is a risk because of a previous c-section. The doctors also wanted to get Audrey out because Shelley had been running a fever for the last couple of days and was up to a fever of 102 degrees in the morning of the 8th and they were concerned there might be an infection in her uterus that could harm the baby. Shelley elected to take the noble path and have Audrey by c-section to avoid any further risk to the baby, even though it means she can only have c-sections from now on and is limited to having at max 4 children without putting her future babies at risk for complications. Once the c-section was decided on, it took about 45 minutes from prep for surgery to the closing of Shelley's incision to have our little Audrey. I would like to request prayer for Shelley's healing, for the her road to recovery to be as easy as possible, for baby Audrey's continued good health, and Preston's attitude as he has to adjust to his little sister. Praise God for Audrey! Grandpa we can't wait for you to come and see Grandma's namesake.
