Christmas at Aunt Pam's

Craig had to work on Christmas so Preston and I rode up to my Aunt Pam's for my extended family Christmas. Preston was very tired of the whole Christmas scene and cried the way up to the cities and the whole way back.

In the bottom picture is my Grandpa Jahn and his girlfriend Dorthy. The middle picture is my Grandma Brahs and sister Denise and her new baby Jaylynn. The top picture is my mom and Grandma with Preston.

It was so nice to be able to visit with everyone. Grandma you inspire me. I love you so much.

Christmas with the Grandma and Grandpa Koehler

We spent Christmas Eve with Craig's family. Santa came and gave us some very funny gifts. I got a bracelet set and Craig got a magic trick set. Cousin Emma got coal from Santa and she was very proud of it. Preston got 2 toothbrushes for his 11 going on 12 teeth. We had a lot of laughs. Mom K acted like they didnt know Santa was coming when all along they had it set up. Preston got a Radio Flyer wagon and cousin Emma had fun riding in it too. He also got a sit and spin but he doesn't quite know how to use it yet. He had fun trying to carry it around and standing on it. Craig and I got a lot of nice gifts too and we are looking forward to trying out our new Magic Bullet. Thanks and we love you.

Christmas at our house

Christmas with Preston was really fun this year. He really brings out the spirit of Christmas. He was so excited with each new thing and couldnt have brought us more smiles.

Craig got me a purse, 2 coudaroy pants, a pair of jeans and shoes. I got him a new fishing reel, and fishing pole and tackel. Preston got a Leap Frog farm magnet that you match up the animals and they sing a song and make animal noises. He got a big ball and a Police car that make noises. He also got in his stocking, 2 match box cars, a duck and a recorder, because he loves to go around poking things.

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Jahn

This year for Christmas my parents decided to spend time with each family individually by having dinner with them and giving the gifts at that time so that they could spend more quality time playing with each grandchild. Preston got a zoo set from them that makes noises, complete with a zoo keeper that has a cell phone and a red truck. He also got a Christmas book. Thanks guys for coming out and having pizza with us. We love you.

P.S. We also got together with the whole family out at our house a few days ago.

New toy puppy

So Craig gave in and gave Preston one of his Christmas presents early today because he was starting to drag everything in sight like my curling iron, blow dryer, apron etc. He has this thing with pulling things behind him lately. He didnt stop pulling his new dog for almost an hour. His dog wags his tail and ears as he is being pulled and even barks. In the top picture he was even telling it to "GO" as he does with our dog Maddie when we let her outside to go potty.

Preston is really starting to become his own person. He loves to get into things and has figured out how to get out of most things too. He loves to drag things behind him, put things on himself and loves to go around poking things. He even walks around with my purses!! He pushes around his cars and says "Varooom". He hasn't crawled in many weeks now as he has mastered walking to the point that he can even run now. This might be my favorite phase yet:)

New Fire truck

Preston got an early Christmas present today from Uncle Keith, Nicci, and Mason. He was so proud of it and carried it around the house with him. It lights up, the wheels click and when you pull the hose it makes a water sound and retracts. Thanks guys for making his day!!!!

*Side note: Notice the black fuzzy's on the carpet? I got these new lounge pants and they are leaving fuzzy's everywhere! I didn't want you all to think I didn't ever vacuum:)

First time out in the snow

I don't know how much snow we got exactly yesterday but close to a foot. Preston was so excited to get to be outside in his new sled. He can't wait till Daddy gets home from work so he can go out again.

So thristy

Preston is big on drinking from his sippy cup and today he was drinking from both his water cup and milk cup at the same time. He can say a ton of new words too like Sit down, Maddie go, Uh Oh, and thank you. He is also using the word No a ton and using it to be naughty. I really didnt think they learned to be naughty this early. I have my work cut out for me. When I spank his hand he hits me back and says No. We are going to nip this in the butt early!!!!!!! I wish he wasn't so cute when he did it though.

Preston's newest cousin

My sister had her 4th baby this morning at 5:48. They don't have a name picked out yet but she weighed in at 6lbs 14 oz and was 19in long. She is adorable to say the least. Being that I am just getting over strep I had to wear a mask. Preston was pretty jealous of me holding her. This makes 2 girls and 2 boys for my sister. There are now 10 grandkids total for my side of the family, 8 boys and 2 girls!!!!!!

Sick again

Just 2 days before Thanksgiving we all got over strep and ear infections and now last night I woke up with a swollen sore throat. I went into urgent care tonight and I have strep AGAIN. My fever is starting to go back up again tonight and I am feeling like I did less than 2 weeks ago. They did blood work to check for Mono(spelling?) as well. Oh life.............................................................

Walking all over the place

Preston has been taking steps here and there for about a month or so now, but now he is walking all over the place. He can walk from one room to the next now all by himself. It is so much fun watching him grow up. The only thing baby about him now is his NUK that he won't give up. We are working on it though.

Craig's first Buck

Right before we went to my parents for Thanksgiving, Craig went out hunting for just a half hour and got his first Buck ever. Our neighbor is going to mount it for him. So now you know what Craig is thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Mommy WOW, I'm a big kid now

Since Preston has turned one it seems his developement has been going full speed ahead. Here are some of his updates and favorites.

1. He has been taking several steps on his own.

2. His favorite food is black beans.

3. He now says Mommy.( For some reason he never even tried to say Mommy until now.)

4. He trys and can say many words that we say to him.

5. He copies everything we do like, putting on a hat, making a funny face or talking on the phone.

6. He chases Maddie around the house.

7. He comes in the kitchen and says "N N" which means food or drink.

8. He helps me pick up when he sees me pick up something. He goes around finding things to give to me and doens't stop until the whole area is cleaned up.

Double ear infection-Updated

Preston got a cold last Tuesday and over the weekend he started to get worse rather that better. Come to find out he has a double ear infection. Poor guy!!! He already is starting to feel better though. I got sick on Sunday and last night my temp sky rocketed to 103. I just about passed out 3 times. My sweet sweet Mother spent the day entertaining Preston so I could get some much needed rest. Thanks Mom!! What would I do without you.

Update: Craig and I went to the doctor today and we both have Strep. No wonder we are so sick. We can't wait to be feeling ourselves again. Preston is doing much much better and is keeping us on our toes.......................we have been laying on the floor because we can't even move so he is learning to play by himself.

Happy 1st Birthday Bud

Today is Preston's 1st Birthday. He hasnt changed much from his looks has he? He still screams like that too. It is amazing how much he changed over this last year. I can't believe how much he can do and say. He means more to me than I can express. He is a bundle of joy and I dont like to spend time away from him. He is such a sweetheart and over the last few weeks, HE has given ME, close to as many hugs as I have given HIM. Thank you Lord for sending me one of your angels to care for. I am forever blessed.

The cake

We bought a cake for Preston at Sam's club and then Craig decorated it. Isn't it so cool? Preston really enjoyed it and smeared it all over his face. I have to say though he had diahera 3 times last night. I guess he wasnt used to all of the sugar. He is kind of a health nut.
