Underwater world

This last weekend was a busy one. We celebrated 5 years of marriage, celebrated my Dad's retirement,enjoyed Memorial day with family and friends and on Tuesday, we went to the Underwater World Aquarium. Audrey and Preston both loved it. We actually went twice, taking a lunch break in between. The aquarium surrounds you on both sides and above you. Sharks, turtles, jelly fish, sword fish and eels are just a few we got to see and enjoy. Their is even a petting pond where Preston got to touch real live sea creatures. Very fun!!!

Retirement

This last weekend my Mom and Dad retired from the ministry. They have been in the ministry for almost 30 years. God has used them to do an amazing work in the lives of His people. It hasn't always been easy and when much time has been invested in peoples lives and when they let you down it is hard to understand. Many people have been saved under his ministry, many lives have been turned back to God, marriages have been restored, and the list goes on. I commend them for sticking it out throughout the hard times and for keeping their hearts toward God. I never once heard my Dad complain. He put in many long hours and was away from home more than not serving others, hospital visits and more. I love them deeply and am excited for the new phase of life that him and my mom are now in. I will miss them being my pastor and pastors wife but know they will always be a spiritual leaders. Their reward is in heaven.

Audrey has started to eat some finger foods. She is loving it and Preston loves to help her along. She has the finger pinch down and enjoys the independence. I have to say I do too!
The foods she has been eating are: MUM MUM (rice rusks), little puffs and brick cheese. She is also loving drinking water from a sippy cup.

Pray!!!

Today my sister has her first court hearing. This is a big one because it has to do with placement of their 4 children. We have been praying so hard that she would get full custody of the children. Pray that the judge would see this and that God would work in his heart. Also please continue to pray for this couple that God would bring them together as a family again. I know that is my sister's desire as well as the children. Families are designed to stay together. God can do a mighty work and with so many people praying for God's will to be done, we can trust in Him whatever the outcome.

Cute little thing

Here is Audrey just being her cute little self. She has as of late developed quite a little attitude lately though. She doesn't want anyone but me and puts up a fuss when I leave the room. Like my mom says though "Shelley, they grow up way too quick, enjoy this time before its gone".

Now that it is getting nice outside we have been spending countless hours outdoors.Audrey loves it out there. She loves watching Preston run around the most!
Here are some updates on her:
* babbles all the time
* love to do funny things with her tongue
* cheers up whenever Preston is around
* loves to take toys away from Preston, but doesn't like the response
* rolls all over the place
* giggles and laughs all the time
* wears 9-12 months clothes (she is not quite 8 months)
* loves to mimic us
* grabs our necks and gives us slobbery kisses
* loves to throw her toys and then looks for them

Prayer request

On Monday my sister was served divorce papers from her husband of 12 years. It is and has been our constant prayer that hearts will be changed. Please be in prayer for his couple and for the children during this time. God can do an amazing work, we just need to trust Him.
