New Hair do's

Preston and I just got new Hair do's . I took Preston to a Ritzy Salon that my friend recommended and the price is the age of the child. So Preston got his hair done for $1. It took them about 20 min to do it too. He was gettting pretty shaggy.
Craig really spoiled me today and took care of Preston so I could use my gift certificate from him for a hour and a half facial. It was the best thing in the world!!! I then went and got my haircut. It was so fun to get out on my own for awhile. I really needed it and Craig really spoiled me. Preston didn't even seem to care I was gone. I think they needed male bonding time:)

Hugs, hugs and more hugs

Preston has been giving us hugs for a long time but lately he has been sharing his love with others. Today at church he put his hands out to whoever came near him, hugged them and then put his hands out back to me. It was really cute and he gave my mom 3 in a row.

Tired out!

Since Craig has been working so many hours lately we needed a family night and we went out to eat at a steak restarant. Preston ate so much that when we got home he crashed in Craig's arms.

Children's Museum

Today Preston and I went to the Children's Museum with my sister, her kids, and a friend of ours with her 2 girls. We could have spent the whole day there but we were starting to get hungry so we met my mom for lunch. There are so many cool things to do there. Some of Preston's highlights were: driving the car at the bank, going shopping at the grocery store,
playing with the trains with cousin JD, and crawling up the tongue into the stomach and small intestines just to name a few.

Really, I am ok

I wrote this poem of my Grandma after we left their house on New Year's Day. This picture was taken last year at Christmas before she was diagnosed with cancer.

Really, I am ok!

Tears flooded my eyes as I watched them play

Really I am ok, she began to say.

But Grandma I love you and I am not feeling that way

We will be ok, please hear what I say.

She asked would like to see

But please no tears for me.

I looked up at her head where hair once was

And I couldn't take my eyes off how beautiful she was.

As tears flooded my eyes once more

She said I'll be with Jesus forevermore.

When by her Saviour one day she will be

I will remember what she would say to me

Don't cry for me, for really, I am ok.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!!! How did you spend your New Year's Eve? Our's was spent sledding with family and friends and then movies and Nintendo Wii into the new day. Nintedo Wii you ask? Yes, we finally broke down and became like some of you and couldn't resist the urge anymore. It was a ton of fun and we played it on the big screen which was even more of a blast.
God bless you this New Year!
